Fillers

FILLERS

Facial fillers are natural or synthetic substances injected under the surface of the skin to fill in fine lines and wrinkles, to add volume and fullness. Fillers restore a vibrant fullness to the lips, jawline, cheeks and temples. Different types of dermal fillers treat varying signs of aging and skin problems such as:

Smile lines
 Thinning lips
Chin fat
Laugh lines
Stretch jaw skin
Crow’s feet
Forehead Creases

Injection of dermal filler is a quick procedure to achieve long-lasting amazing results in appearance. You should be able to notice the results immediately after receiving filler injections. You would also be able to go back to your normal activities after the treatment.

Which filler do I need?

There are so many dermal filler products on the market and it can be difficult to know which option is best for you without an experienced practitioner guidance. Each product is uniquely formulated to have a definite texture, density, and injection depth. This means certain fillers work better for certain areas. While your provider will determine what product is best for you, the following diagram shows in general where practitioners tend to apply certain products:

How Long Do the Results Last?

It depends on the product, the area of treatment, and the patient. Generally speaking, the denser the product is and the more deeply it is injected, the longer it will last. To keep your results, your provider will repeat treatment, adjusting the amount and methods as necessary to ensure optimal results.
Hyaluronic acid fillers tend to be the most temporary option, and therefore are often recommended for the first-time filler patients. These fillers will usually last from 6 to 18 months. Injections to the lips will wear out a little faster than those to the nasolabial folds. Certain HA fillers, such as VOLUMA, are formulated to last longer, but are usually limited to certain areas, such as the cheeks.
Synthetic fillers tend to last longer, as they are not absorbed by the body. They can be a great option for patients who want their dermal fillers last for several years.
