IPL

IPL

IPL is intense pulse light, used to perform various skin treatments for aesthetic and therapeutic uses such as skin pigmentation, sun damage, age spots, liver spots, thread veins, and the reduction of active acne. The technology utilizes a broad-spectrum light source with a range of 400 to 1200 nm. Various filters are placed in front of the light source to filter the undesired frequencies and allow the desired wavelength to target specific structures and chromophores in the skin.

How IPL Works?

• Specially selected wavelengths of light penetrate the skin.
• Melanin and oxyhemoglobin absorbs the light with minimal dermal/epidermal absorption.
• Light is converted to heat and destroying the lesion or vessel.
• The body removes damage tissue.

Nano needling is a remarkably gentle and noninvasive cosmetic facial treatment that reduces the appearance of fine lines, minimizes pigmentation, and improves skin tone.

What to expect in the session?

Each IPL session usually takes 30 minutes, performed with a small hand piece and the practitioner presses it against the skin. Avoid using makeup, perfume and scented products on the day of your appointment.

Does it hurt?

It depends on the treatment and the type of IPL filter. The sessions may have some discomfort, and most clients describe it as getting snapped with a small rubber band. If you are concerned about pain, topical numbing can be applied to decrease the sensation.
